1-2 June 2002, Birmingham, England. Nemesis, programmed by Murray Cash, met Wyllie, programmed by Roberto Waldteufel, for the title of British Computer Champion, endorsed by the EDA.

The rules for the tournament were the same as the ones used for the Las Vegas world computer championship that was played 2 months later. The only difference being that game scores were the absolute way of determining the winner rather than round scores.

The time allowed was 20 mins/game plus 1 minute per move. The deck was the "Computer Tough Deck" as outlined in the rules, containing 61 of the hardest 3 move ballots including the 11 mail play ballots and the "Black Hole" opening.

At the end of 2 days Nemesis was triumphant 5-0 with 11 draws. The referee was George Miller.
