Alex Moiseyev met Elbert Lowder for the World 3-Move Title at the International Checker Hall of Fame, Petal, MS, USA.

There were 17 draws, the match ending 11 games early. Lowder played his usual fireworks style, playing unusual moves to gain crossboard positions. However Moiseyev loves crossboard games and put Lowder to the sword.

This was the 3rd most one-sided World Championship match in history. The most one-sided of all time was in 1979, where Tinsley won 15-0 with 10 draws...against the unfortunate Lowder! Ron King also defeated Bill Edwards 14-1-13 in 1994. This match was sanctioned by the ACF, but not any other world organisations such as the EDA, who do not currently recognise a World 3-move Champion.
